Mrs. Mary S. Baker went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2020 at her home. A private family visitation will be at Ray Funeral Home on December 26, 2020 from 12 p.m to 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 p.m at Delta Heights Memorial Garden.
She was born in Little Rock, AR on October 16, 1939 to Walter & Mary Helen Smith. She married Ruben H. Baker and made their life in Shaw, MS. She spent her life as a full-time homemaker. Her most precious life's work was in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. God blessed them with five precious children. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren very deeply.
She is survived by her children, Randy Baker (Allison) of Jacksonville, FL, Steven Baker (Rita) of Martin, TN, Sandra Farmer (Mitchell) of Cleveland, MS, Mike Baker of Cleveland, MS, and Dottie Wheeler of Charleston, MS; siblings, Jerry Smith of Woodland Park, CO, Gary Smith (Linda) of Charlestown, IN, Sandra Spears of Aberdeen, MS, Pat Richardson (Mike) of Carrier, MS, Kathy Rowe of Sterlington, LA, and Walter Smith (Deanna) of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, Carrie Wind, Cassie Baker, Caleb Baker, Dale Hayes, Kimberly Gallimore, Rachel Allhands, Steven Farmer, Richard Upchurch, and Andy Baker; as well as 11 great grandchildren who are so loved & cherished.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ruben Baker; parents, Walter and Helen Smith; brothers, Lynn Smith and Greg Smith; son-in-law, Jim Wheeler; daughter-in-law, Betty Lou Baker. Pallbearers for this service will be Steven Farmer, Jeremiah Allhands, Baker Allhands, Aaron Gallimore, Will Gallimore, and Richard Upchurch. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Baker, Caleb Baker, Rob Upchurch, Reed Upchurch, Jimmy Bowen, and Dale Hayes.
