Mary Rose White

Mary Rose White, 91, of Ruleville, MS went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2023.  Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS.  Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS.

Mary was born August 1, 1931, in Union City, TN to Alfred and Lena Wilson.  At a young age she moved to Cleveland where she worked for Western Union for several years.  She was a long-time member of the Bolivar Church of Christ.  Mary was also a stay a home mom for many years until starting her career in insurance where she worked for Tollison and Charlie Capps Insurance Company for a combined of 25 years.  The highlight of her life was on Sunday’s she would go to Mrs. Mary’s house and stay all day, sometimes she would stay until wee hours of the morning playing dominoes and fellowshipping with her.  Most of all, she was a devoted servant of the Lord along with loving wife, mother, and grandmother.   

She is preceded in passing by her parents, Alfred and Lena Wilson; husband of 53 years, James Roy White; son, James Randall White; brothers, Aubrey and James Wilson.

Mary is survived by her loving daughter Pam (Steve)Crain of Tuscaloosa, AL; grandchildren, Roger Crain and Cole Shreves; brother-in-law, Roy Boone; nieces, JoAnn Wilson, Anita Jo Arnett, Annette Norris, Carol Tucker, and Betsy Henderson; nephews, Mark Boone, Joel, Jim, and Todd Wilson.

The family would like to thank these women for the tender loving care they showed Mrs. Mary for many years, Gloria, Shirley, Nickie, Lisa, and previous care givers.
