Pug dedicated many years of her life to the beauty industry, owning and operating her salon that she inherited from her mother, who was her inspiration. Her passion for her work and dedication to her clients made her a cherished professional in the area. Besides her work, Pug was an active member of her community, embodying the principles of kindness and compassion that were central to her character. Pug was a Methodist, but she also embraced her husband's heritage by attending the Jewish Temple, reflecting her openness and respect for diverse beliefs. She was also a passionate advocate for child abuse awareness and child welfare, fighting tirelessly for the protection and betterment of children’s lives. Her involvement with the Crossroads Blues Society allowed her to connect with others who shared her love for music and community. Most of all, Pug was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She lived in the house her parents built in 1948, and she raised her own family there. It was the multigenerational family gathering place for many holidays and family reunions. Many happy memories were made there.
Pug is preceded in passing by her parents, Joe Lee Posey and Elsie Modine Lott Posey, and her brother Joe Hunter Posey.
She is survived by her loving husband Sidney Ephraim Woolf Sr.; her son Sidney Ephraim (Clara) Woolf; her daughter Hannah Elizabeth (Geoffrey) West; brother Jerry Lott (Lynne) Posey; her sister Jackie Posey Clark; and her grandchildren Vance, Amelia, Abby, Jane, Clark, Sidney, and Charles.
