MERIBETH BRITT SAPPINGTON, 36, was born August 9, 1975 in Cleveland, MS and passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Mrs. Sappington was an assistant teacher for the DeSoto County Schools and was a Baptist. She is survived by her husband, Sam Sappington of Southaven; sons, T.J. Hollingsworth of Southaven, Gage Sappington of Cleveland, MS, and Ethan Sappington of West Point, MS; daughter, Hailey Hollingsworth; newborn daughter, Samantha Grace Sappington, both of Southaven; her mother, Janis Britt of Southaven; brothers, Jeff Britt of Southaven and Scott Britt of New Mexico; and sisters, Traci Triplett and Carol Shoemaker, both of Pocahontas, MS. She was preceded in death by her father, Corbitt Britt. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11 from 12 p.m. until the service begins at 2 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. The family requests that any memorials be made to the Methodist Hospital Transplant Center at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
