Mattie Lucille "Lucy" Harrison Lawler

Mattie Lucille “Lucy” Harrison Lawler, 94, of Pace, MS, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 4, 2022.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022.  Celebration of Life Services will immediately follow at 2:00 at Ray Funeral Home.  Interment will be at New Cleveland Cemetery. 

Lucy was born October 10, 1927, to Charles and Sarah McDonald in Linn, MS.  She married H.H. Harrison in January of 1947 and they were married 10 days shy of 50 years when he died in 1997.  In 2002 she married Charles “Sonny” Lawler and they were married for 8 years before he passed away on June 4, 2010.  She was a lifelong homemaker and lover of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She is predeceased in death by her parents, Charles and Sarah McDonald; husbands, Harry Henry “H.H.” Harrison and Charles Stephen Lawler; sons, Bobby Henry Harrison and Arthur Harry Harrison, and Steve Lawler; siblings, Eland Ashmore, JaNeva Mitchell, Modess Ferguson, Jimmy Glen McDonald, Cleo Morton, L.Q. McDonald, Glenn McDonald, and Wenon McDonald.

Lucy is survived by her daughter in law, Carolyn Harrison of Cleveland, MS; grandchildren, Christie Harrison Rocconi (Peter) of Boyle, MS and Toni Harrison Morrison of Cleveland, MS; great grandchildren, Dustin Rocconi (Rebeccah) of Gluckstadt, MS, Cody Morrison (Lauren) of Fosters, AL, Mattie Rocconi and Carolyn Cole Rocconi of Boyle, MS; great great grandchildren, Jackson Rocconi and one on the way of Gluckstadt, Ms; stepdaughters, Kathi Rouse of Seward, Nebraska, Fran Pate (Buddy) of Greenville, MS, Dottie Lawler of Bruce, MS, and Patti Davis of Greenville, MS; along with a host of step-grandchildren, loving nieces and nephews. 

Pall Bearers are Peter Rocconi, Cody Morrison, Dustin Rocconi, Houston Weaver, Donny Whitten, Tim McCarter. Honorary Pall Bearers are Butch Smith, Larry McDonald and Buddy Pate
