Mr. Max Bramuchi, 81, of Shelby, MS passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Cleveland Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shelby, MS. A mass of Christian burial will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Kent Bowlds and Father Scott Dugas officiating. Interment will follow in Shelby Cemetery.
Mr. Bramuchi was born in Greenville, MS April 14, 1930 to Nazzarino and Mary Micci Esposto Bramuchi. He married Barbara Anne Bailey in Shelby, MS on September 5, 1953. Mr. Bramuchi honorably served our country by being a proud member of the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. For 45 years he owned and operated Delta Craft and Woodwork. He participated on the Board of Directors of the Shaw Education Foundation, the board of the Bolivar County Expo and was on the Financial Council of St. Mary's Catholic Church. In 2009, he received the Chamber of Commerce award. Mr. Bramuchi was an avid golf player, a state certified building and road inspector for Mississippi, a very proud member of the American Legion and loved his home town of Shelby.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Nazzarino and Mary Micci Bramuchi; brothers, Pete and Delmo Bramuchi; and infant sister, Natalina Bramuchi.
Mr. Bramuchi is survived by his wife, Barbara B. Bramuchi of Shelby; Son, Max Andrew Bramuchi of Shelby; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Kent of Cleveland; grandchild, Jessica Elizabeth Bates (Joseph) of Shelby; great-grandchildren, Bronson Daniel Bates and Corbin Wyatt Bates of Shelby; brothers, Joe Bramuchi (Margie) of Shelby and James Bramuchi (Phyllis) of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Rose McConnell (Jim) of Alpharetta, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Billie Bassie, Bobby Bassie, Brian Malone, Reggie Smith, Michael Belelchia, and Larry Bramuchi. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Aguzzi, David Malatesta, John Letchworth and Alex Balducci.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Cleveland Nursing and Rehab and the Angel of Mercy Hospice for the excellent care their staff provided them during this time. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to the Shelby Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 33 Shelby, MS 38774.
