Melba Haynes

Mrs. Melba Miles Haynes, 87, of Merigold passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Joy Health and Rehab of Cleveland. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of life services will follow immediately at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home with¬¬ James McNally officiating. Interment will follow in Drew Cemetery.
Mrs. Haynes was born on August 23, 1926, in Mississippi to James M. Miles and Ida M. Grantham. She married Charles Haynes on May 2, 1942. She worked for D&L 20 plus years.
She is preceded in death by father, James M. Miles and mother, Ida Miles; son, James Haynes; brothers, Bill Miles, Lee Miles, Floyd Miles, Davis Miles, and Jack Miles; sisters, Lovella Sevell and Marie Cooper.
Mrs. Haynes is survived by her husband, Charles W. Haynes; sons, Thomas W. Haynes (Patty) of Cleveland, and Danny Copper (Jan) of Philadelphia; daughters, Dixie H. Dill (Joey) of Cleveland, and Betty Sue Haynes of Merigold; sister, Lela Kiens; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Haynes of Merigold; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
