Mildred Blanch Mitchell

Mildred K Mitchell, 92, of Shaw, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Walter B Crook Nursing Facility. Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2015, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 P.M. at Linn Baptist Church. Interment will be in Linn Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell was born to Obed Kline and Frances Parker on January 11, 1923. She married Clyde D Mitchell on October 25, 1958 in Linn, MS. She was a member of Linn Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She had a green thumb and loved caring for her flowers. When she was not caring for her flowers, she loved watching the Braves, playing bingo, and solving word puzzles. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her entire family. This time was the most valuable time of all to her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde D Mitchell; parents; sister Elouise; brother Milton; and sons Hubert Bean and Charles Bean of Doddsville. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her daughters, Nell Donahoe (Edgar) of Indianola, MS, Sue Moore of Carthage, MS, Shirley Thomas of Garlard, TX, Becky Powell (Glenn) Byhalia, MS, Linda Hughes (Terry) of Clinton, MS, and Terri Flanagan (Lynn) of Shaw, MS; daughter-in-law Mary Bean of Doddsville; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Baptist Children's Village.
