Mildred Joann Lowe, a beloved figure in her family and community, went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2024, in Memphis, Tennessee. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place at North Cleveland Cemetery.
She was born on June 7, 1945, in Clarksdale Mississippi, to Hulet Henry “Hugh” and Rena Lane “Irene” Andrews. She was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, caring sister, and cherished friend to many.
Mildred dedicated 27 years of her life as an associate at Wal Mart, where she was known for her warm personality and strong work ethic. She was a high school graduate of Clarksdale High School, class of 1963. Throughout her life, Mildred took great pride in her family and formed many wonderful memories around the kitchen, notably cooking spaghetti, dressing, and beef stew for her beloved boys. Her passion for sewing marked another facet of her vibrant personality.
Mildred had a profound love for music, particularly enjoying the sounds of her husband, Charles Milton Lowe, as he played the trumpet. She was also a member of Providence Baptist Church for over twenty years, where she established lasting friendships within the congregation.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Hulet Henry "Hugh" and Rena Lane "Irene" Andrews; husband, Charles Milton Lowe; brother, Dr. Hugh Andrews.
She is survived by her three sons, Steven Lowe of Cleveland, MS, Bruce Lowe of Cleveland, MS, and Chuck Lowe of Starkville, MS, as well as her sister Betty Wilson and her husband Lance, who reside in California.
Mildred Joann Lowe will be deeply missed. Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
