Mildred Tolbert Muzzi

Mrs. Mildred Tolbert Muzzi, 90, of Shaw, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2016, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2016, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw with Father Tom Mullally officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery. Mrs. Muzzi was born on August 26, 1926, in Dahlonaga, GA, to Frank Tolbert and Lily Housley. On September 21, 1946, she married Vincent Muzzi, Sr. in Atlanta, GA, and was his faithful wife for 70 years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw, and she enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Tolbert and Lily Housley Tolbert; and nine siblings. Mrs. Muzzi is survived by her husband, Vince Muzzi, Sr. of Shaw; sons, Vince Muzzi, Jr. of Greenville; Tim Muzzi (Janice) of Starkville; and Danny Muzzi (Tootsie) of Shaw; grandchildren, Steve Muzzi (Heather), Dawn Muzzi; Philip Muzzi (Cindy), Dereke Muzzi (Anna), and Mark Muzzi (Tavia); and great-grandchildren, Seth Muzzi, MaKayla McDonald, Nate Muzzi, Asher Muzzi, Eliza Muzzi, and Brooklyn Muzzi. Pallbearers will be Seth Muzzi, Philip Muzzi, Mark Muzzi, Steve Muzzi, Dereke Muzzi, and Jason Norwood. In memory of Mrs. Muzzi, the family requests donations be made to LeBonheur Children's Hospital.
