Millard Filmore Hurst

Mr. Millard F Hurst, 76, of Cleveland passed away July 21, 2021 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow service at Delta Heights Cemetery in Cleveland, MS.
Millard was born April 17, 1945 to Millard "Bill" and Vivan Hurst Grisham in Rosedale, MS. He grew up and attended school in Rosedale. Millard enlisted in the military with his brother George. He married Sarah Boswell January 7, 1981.
He later worked on tow boats for over 55 years as an engineer.
He is predeceased by his parents, Millard "Bill" and Vivan Hurst; wife, Sarah Hurst; sisters, Maxine and Ruby Hurst; brother, James Hurst.
Millard is survived by his sons, Timmy, Terry, Jody, and James Hurst all of Mississippi; brothers, George Hurst (Sandy) of Texas, Johnnie Hurst (Niki) of Oklahoma, and Samford Grisham; sisters, Billie Hurst, Wanda Ballard of Texas, Patricia Gibson (Sunny) of Mississippi, Sandra and Bessie Grisham.
