Modena Petty

Mrs. Modena Guest Petty, 90, of Ruleville, MS, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011. Visitation will be Monday, June 13, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.. Celebration of life service will be at Ray Funeral Home Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow services in Lehrton Cemetery.
Mrs. Petty was born August 8, 1920 to James W. Guest and Effie Ward Guest. She married Abb Hester Petty on March 16, 1938.
She is survived by her children, Curtis Petty (Nancy) of Brandon, MS, Hester Petty (Betty) of Ruleville, MS, and Joan Pannel (Thomas) of Ruleville, MS; grandchildren, Tommy Pannel (Monica) of Cleveland, MS, Patty Holley (J.D.) of Ruleville, MS, Tena Smith (Lance) of Kingston Springs, TN, Sheila Boling (Scott) of Brandon, MS, Michael Farr (Suzette) of Indianola, MS, and Michelle McIntyre (Ricky) of Southaven, MS; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby McAtee of Charleston, MS; and brother, Tom Ed Guest of Oxford, MS
Pallbearers will be Scott Boling, Brett Boling, Tommy Pannel, Cody Pannel, Lance Smith, Ricky McIntyre, Michael Farr, and J.D. Holley.
