Mrs. Naisy Thompson Brunetti, 85, of Madison, MS, formerly of Cleveland, MS, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014, at home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home with Brother Tim McCarter officiating.
Mrs. Brunetti was born September 8, 1928, to William Kelsey Thompson and Monella Dial Thompson in Florence, AL. She graduated from Gunnison High School and attended Freed Hardeman University in Henderson, TN, then met and married her beloved husband, Vincent Brunetti, on January 14, 1950, in Rosedale, MS. She retired from the Social Security Administration in 1990, then spent the next several years helping her husband build his business. Mrs. Brunetti was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ and had a strong faith in God. Her unending devotion to family and her quiet graciousness will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Kelsey and Monella Pauline Thompson; husband, Vincent Brunetti; sister, Ethel Lester; and brothers, C.W. Thompson, Howard Thompson, and Buddy Thompson.
Mrs. Brunetti is survived by her daughters, Becky Brunetti Morris (Marvin) of Madison and Debbie Brunetti Skeen of Cleveland; grandchildren, Jennifer Overton (Justin) of Madison, Kristin Reiber (Nick) of Madison, Shea Skeen (Brandyn) of Cleveland, Chasity Barksdale (Russell) of New Orleans, LA, and Deena Matthews of Abilene, TX; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Everlee, and Isabella Overton of Madison, Scott and Molly Grace Reiber of Madison, and McKinnon, Peter Vincent and Christopher Skeen of Cleveland; siblings, Opal Sappington of Cleveland, Nell White of Killen, AL, Fran Wisner (Art) of Jacksonville, FL, Shirley Wisner (Ray) of Claremore, OK, Bettye Larner (Bill) of Titusville, FL, and Robert Earl Thompson of Florence, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews. Special thanks is given to Dianne Patrick, who tenderly cared for Mrs. Brunetti and her family during the last weeks of "Nana's" life.
