Nancy Sue Mullen Henson, age 64, of Leland, MS passed away Friday, October 18, 2013, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Holtz officiating. Interment will follow in Shaw Cemetery.
Mrs. Henson was born December 15, 1948, to Linus and Mary Ina Vick Mullen in Doddsville, MS. She attended Linn Elementary School and Shaw High School. She married Wayne Powell Henson in October 1968. She attended Shaw Baptist Church. She had a great love and appreciation for music. She always had a smile and love for everyone who she met and knew. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She was a gentle soul and had a kind word for everyone that she met.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Dominic Michelle Walden; brothers and sisters: Jimmy Mullen, JoAnn Winton, Bud Mullen, Herbert Mullen, Ricky Mullen, Diane Marks, Jenny Mae Mullen, Mary Mae Mullen, and Frances Janet Price.
She is survived by one son, Timothy Lee Henson (Phyadagren) of Shaw; two daughters, Peggy Ellison (Craig) of Leland and Susan Walden (Daniel) of Brussels, Belgium; two brothers, Fred and Benny Mullen of Shaw; one sister, Peggy Allison of Ridgeland; nine grandchildren, Kevin Hamilton (Chelsey), Paige Hamilton, Kimberly Hamilton, Brittany Walden, Megan Walden, Regan Walden, and Haley Walden, Tyieserica Henson, and Timesha Henson; two Great-grandchildren, McKenzley Milbrand and Zaleigh Jayne Allen.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
