The service will be led by The Reverend Will Wilkerson and The Very Reverend Doctor Julia Moore. Interment will follow in New Cleveland Cemetery. Nancy was born to the late Curtis C. Seawright and Corinne Farris Seawright on November 3, 1942 in Greenwood, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Cleveland High School, and enjoyed organizing and participating in her class reunions. Nancy and her parents were avid Lady Statesmen basketball fans, particularly during the Margaret Wade period. They enjoyed following the national champions when they played throughout the country, and as a result of their loyalty, rewarding friendships developed. A lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, Nancy was an active member for many years. It was at this church were her love of music was nurtured. As a piano and organ student of Mrs. Roy Grisham, her gift and love of music developed. Her interest in classical music and her passion for opera gave her much pleasure. She enjoyed practicing and playing with the Handbell choir. An accomplished floral designer for 55 years, her work was recognized by the Mississippi Floral Association, an organization she served as president. She also served a two year term as the president of the Mississippi Rose Society. Her knowledge and respect of all Christian and Jewish religious practices in their houses of worship, regarding flowers and funeral procedures, recognizes the professional florist that she was. Nancy gave freely of her time to helping non professionals learn the basics of flower arranging. She volunteered her expertise in many of the benefits held for fundraising for the Bologna Performing Arts Center and other worthy projects at Delta State University. She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis C. Seawright and Corinne Farris Seawright, and sister, Judith Corinne Seawright. She leaves cousins and friends who loved her, and a community who will miss her creative contributions. Pallbearers will be Dr. David Walt, Stan Gaines III, Ken McGarrh, Mike Sanders, James Marquis, and Nott Wheeler, Jr.
