Nina Hubbard

Nina Kay Hubbard, 71, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 am Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Percy Beach officiating. Interment will be in Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Mrs. Hubbard was born in Cleveland on September 17, 1942, to Gervis Leon Havard and Mary Lee Lampard Havard. She attended Cleveland Public Schools. She worked as a nurse at Bolivar Medical Center and was also a homemaker, and was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church in Clarksdale.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Dr. Barry Horton and Reverend Brian Horton.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jerry L. Hubbard of Cleveland; sons, Dr. Billy Horton (Terri) of Ringgold, GA, Dr. Jay Hubbard (Lyn) of Cleveland, and Jeff Hubbard (Susan) of Surrey, British Columbia; brother, Rusty Martin (Hazel) of Franklin, TN; sisters, Diane Cobb (John) and Rona Powell (Greg) both of Cleveland; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
