Noel Chris Lewis

Noel Chris Lewis, 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Hernando, MS, on September 20, 2024, after a long battle with Lewy Body Disease. He was surrounded by his family and devoted wife.

Chris was born in Ruleville, MS on June 19, 1953, to Winton Prentiss Lewis and Grace Linenberg Lewis of Drew, MS.

Chris graduated from North Sunflower Academy and attended Delta State University before he went to work with his Dad and Grandfather at Lewis Seed and Feed for 30+ years. He tried many things in retirement, but driving those trucks to the River was his favorite thing.

Chris loved country music and could sing along to all the old songs. You could show him a picture of something and he could make it, but most of all he was proud of his 1982 Chevy Silverado truck.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Lewis Partridge. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 49 years, Carla Lee Clanton Lewis. He is also survived by his brother, Denny Lewis (Royanne), his sister-in-law, Jo Anne Clanton (Rick), his brother-in-law, John Marlen Owens (Carla), and his nieces, Bailey O'Brian Pain (Fraser), Mary Katherine Torbit (Marc), Sarah Caroline Owens, and his grandniece, Collins Anne Pain; and his nephew Joseph Partridge and niece Megan Partridge.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00am, Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Ray Funeral Home, Cleveland, MS, followed by Celebration of Life Service at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Drew cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.

Chris' memory will live in the hearts of all who loved him.
