Ms. Patricia Ann Brown Barr, 64, of Rolling Fork, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Sharkey Issaquena Community Hospital in Rolling Fork. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Memorial Services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Ms. Barr was born in Cleveland, MS on September 1, 1951, to Thomas Monroe Brown and Thurma Dean Smith Brown. She worked for 25 years as a Bookkeeper and Office Manager. She was always active and supportive of her daughters; her world revolved around them. You could always find her cheering them on during games and band performances.
She enjoyed spending time on the beach, taking trips to the coast, spoiling her dogs rotten, and reading. You could always find a book in her hands. She dearly loved her grandchildren, and family was everything to her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Monroe Brown and Thurma Dean Smith Brown. Ms. Barr is survived by her daughters, Angie Gresham (Daniel) of Foley, AL and Teresa Welch (Chris) of Rolling Fork; grandchildren, Nathan Gresham of Foley, AL, and Caleb Welch, Chloe Welch, and Carley Welch all of Rolling Fork; brother, Larry Brown (Brenda) of Jonesboro, AR; and a host of other family she loved dearly. Pallbearers who will assist in the honoring of her life will be Jerry Smith, Marvin "PeeWee" Fulwood, Kenneth Taylor, Billy Smith, Randy Terry, Howard Brown, Billy Smith, Jr., and Shannon Terry.
