Patricia Ann " Patsy" Olivi Mangialardi of Madison, Ms , went home to Jesus on July
27, 2023. She was 81 at the time of her passing and died peacefully at home of ALS (Lou Gehrig's) disease.
Patsy was born in Shelby, Mississippi to Gus and Ermalinda Reginelli Olivi on June 28, 1942. She graduated from Shelby High School and married Sam Q Mangialardi on November 25, 1971.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 1.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am at St Mary's Catholic Church in Shelby, MS, with the funeral mass at 11:00am. Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery. Ray Funeral Home of Cleveland, MS is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs Mangialardi was a faithful member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Shelby before their move to Madison to be near their three children. She became a devoted member of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Madison until her passing.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Sam Queno Mangialardi of Madison, MS; Daughter, Tricia (Steve) Pittman, sons, Sam Anthony (Ashley)Mangialardi, and son Michael Mangialardi, all of the Madison- Ridgeland area; Sisters, Marie Antici(Eugene) of Cleveland, MS, Lillian Junkin(Jimmy) of San Antonio, Texas, Gussie Farris(Davey) of Clarksdale, MS, and brother- in- law, Richard Noe of Clarksdale; Grandchildren, Anthony, Nickolas and Andrew Mangialardi and Spencer and Chance Pittman. She is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and many friends. A special mention to her dear deceased cousin, Catherine Nassar's three sons, Phillip, George and William and close family friend, Betsy Hunt.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Ermalinda Reginelli Olivi; her brother and sister- in- law, Gino and Edna Mansour Mangialardi and her sister, JoAnn Olivi Noe.
Patsy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. To know her was to love her; she radiated love and sunshine. She was always the life of any gathering and a fast friend to all in need. Faith and Family were central to her life. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. We were blessed to have her in our lives. She leaves a big empty place in our hearts but fills a bright spot in heaven. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Thanks be to God.
