Patrick Lee Kuykendall was called Home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2020.
A Visitation honoring his life will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. A Graveside service will follow at 2 PM at the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, MS.
Patrick was born on July 7, 1964 to Mrs. Georgetta Jorgenson Kuykendall & Mr. William Thomas Kuykendall in Warner Robins, GA. At an early age, he and his family moved to Starkville, MS where he attended Starkville Academy and graduated high school. He went on to attend college at Mississippi State University where he graduated and received his Bachelor of Public Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration. Patrick was a versatile business veteran of 32 years who worked in public accounting, commercial banking, retail management, and most recently, found a passion teaching high school business at Cleveland Central High School. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, MS and served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for Habitat for Humanity. From 2005 to 2010, he led volunteers in the construction of residential homes. He also served for two years as Director of the local soup kitchen in Starkville, MS and volunteered as a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America in Tupelo, MS in 2000.
He is preceded in passing by his father, William Thomas Kuykendall, and brother, Bill Kuykendall.
Patrick is survived by his three children, Patrick Lee Kuykendall, Jr. of Nashville, TN; Peter William Kuykendall (and wife Rhianna) of Scott Air Force Base, IL; and Mary Chatham Kuykendall of Oxford, MS; his children's mother Sharon Renee Stocks of Nashville, TN; his soulmate, Christine Johnston of Cleveland, MS; his mother Georgetta Jorgenson Kuykendall of Columbia, MS; his brother Mike Kuykendall (and wife Sharon) of Columbia, MS; his sister Susan Kuykendall of Starkville, MS; and five grandchildren, Ayden, Dalton, Nolan, Konrad, and Sienna Kuykendall.
