Pearl Inez Evans Jordan, of Hammond, Louisiana, formally of Sunflower, Mississippi, passed away January 3, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at home with her family. Visitation will be at Ray's Funeral Home in Cleveland, Mississippi from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with the services immediately following at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will follow at North Cleveland Cemetery.
She was retired from Super Valu, Inc. where she worked as Personnel Administration for 32 years. She was a member of the Sunflower Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Jordan, Sr.; father John W. Evans; mother, Wadie Mae Brown Evans; sister, Joan Evans Rollins and brother, Walter William Evans.
She is survived by her two children, John Earl Jordan, Jr. of Hammond, Louisiana, and Richard Craig Jordan of Picayune, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Zachery Ryan Jordan of Columbia, Mississippi, Megan and Julie Jordan of Covington, Louisiana, Evan Jordan of Cypress, Texas; and one great-grandchild, Daisy Lea Jordan of Hammond, Louisiana; five sisters, Johnnie Marie Evans of Warren, Arkansas, Lynn Evans of Cleveland, Mississippi, Essie Mae Evans Taylor of Kosciusko, Mississippi, Adele Evans of Warren Arkansas, and Ethelene Evans Wells of Kosciusko, Mississippi.
