Peggy Smith

Peggy Smith, 87, of Boyle, MS went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in Cleveland, MS.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following.  Interment will be at Delta Heights in Cleveland, MS. 

Peggy was born October 21, 1934, to John and Opal Ray in Merigold, MS.  She worked as a tax accountant for 20 years.  Peggy married Burley Smith February 2, 1953, in Merigold, MS. 

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Opal Ray; husband, Burley Smith; daughter, Pamela Kelly; granddaughter, Kennedy Smith. 

Peggy is survived by son, Joe Smith (Alice); daughter, Cynthia Weaver (Tony); grandchildren; Jacob Smith, Joey Smith, and Heather Delahoussaye; great grandchildren, Nick, Mia, and A.J. Delahoussaye; brother, W.C Ray.
