Peggy Tedford

Peggy Tedford 74, of Cleveland, MS was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 20, 2019. A Visitation honoring Mrs. Peggy will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 10-11 AM at Ray Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service following at 11am at Ray Funeral Home. Graveside will follow in the New Cleveland Cemetery.
Peggy was born on October 26, 1944 in Greenwood, MS to the late Howard & Loretta Griffin Martin. She grew up in Drew, MS and graduated from Cleveland High School.  Peggy married the love of her life Danny Tedford on February 01, 1969. She worked as an insurance agent, selling property insurance for many years for CAPPS until the company merged with Mitchell South Group. Mrs. Peggy was a hard working woman who knew and loved the Lord and most of all loved spending time with her family, and taking care of them.
Peggy is preceded in passing by her parents, Howard & Loretta Griffin Martin, one sister, Jo Vivian Martin.
She is survived by her loving husband  of 50 years, Danny Tedford, one loving son, Joey Tedford and his wife, Becky of Senatobia, MS., two grandchildren, Christopher Tedford of Niceville, FL., and Kayhmon Routson and  his wife  Kayla of Hernando, MS., one grandchild, Lyla Grace Routson.
Pastor. Jack Moore will officiate the service.
The family wishes all donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or The Alzheimer's Association.
