Philip Braxton

Philip Damon Braxton, 36, of Drew, MS, passed away, Saturday, December 7, 2013, at his home. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December, 10, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home. Memorial Services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December, 10, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Chouccoli officiating.
Mr. Braxton was born in Shelby on November 7, 1977, to Benjamin Jesse Braxton, Sr. and Mary Etta Hulsey Braxton. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Drew, and he loved to hunt, fish and sing in church.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Wesley "J.W." Braxton and Georgia Beasley Braxton of Friars Point; and maternal grandfather, Miles Harding Hulsey of Tupelo.
Mr. Braxton is survived by his father, Benjamin Braxton, Sr. of Drew; mother and step-father, Mary and Michael Sledge of Laurel Hill, FL; sisters, Stacy Holifield of Parker, FL and Lisa Braxton of Horn Lake ,MS; brothers, Benjamin Jessie Braxton, Jr. of Greenville, MS; maternal grandmother, Mary Abner Hulsey of Tupelo; and aunt, Barbra Farmer of Drew.
