Mr. Quenton A. "Dick" Miller died, July 15, 2013 at Desoto Health Care. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Ray Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Our Lady of Victories in Cleveland. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. Miller was born on October 20, 1927 to Quenton Armond Miller Sr. and Christine Johnson Miller. He graduated from Merigold High School in 1945 and joined the Navy during WWII. He served in the Pacific Theatre on the Destroyer USS Brush. He also served during the Korean War aboard the USS Bradford. He married Louise Rizzo on March 18, 1950. He retired as Chief Plant Operator at MP&L after 37 years. He was a member of the IBEW, Charter Member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Cleveland, VFW and served as the Post Commander and as Quarter Master, American Legion and the 40&8, and was also a member of Our Lady of Victories.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Quenton Armond Miller and Christine Johnson Miller; wife, Louise R. Miller; and brother, John Michie Miller.
He is survived by son, Ronnie Miller (Jeannie); daughter, Debbie Leftwich (Porter); daughter, Lisa Miller; sisters, Mary "Sis" Woods, and Therese "Reecy" Whitehead; 3 grandchildren, Erin Leftwich Peters, Cassie Miller, Davis Alford; and two great-grandchildren.
