Ralph Edward Eddie Daves

Mr. Ralph Edward "Eddie" Daves, 67, of Cleveland, MS, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Cleveland. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Rev. Jonathan Speegle officiating.
Eddie was born on March 12, 1951, to Noel Upton Daves and Juanita Cox Daves in Cleveland, MS. On August 3, 1969, he married Barbara Kay Creekmore at Boyle Baptist Church. Eddie retired as a service manager from John Deere after 41 years of employment. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, collecting guns, driving his tractor, woodworking, and being a faithful member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Eddie was an amazing cook and also loved to eat.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Noel Upton Daves and Juanita Cox Daves; brother, Danny Daves; and sister, Jetti Ervin.
Eddie is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Kay Creekmore Daves of Cleveland; children, Melanie Earls (Woody) of Merigold and Michael Daves of Columbia, SC; grandchild, Brittany Earls (fiancé, Trevor Runnels) of Merigold; sister, Donna Sarver (Gary) of Brandon; and brother, Randy Daves (Pam) of Coffeeville.
In memory of Eddie, donations may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church Major Upgrade Fund.
