Raymond Ray

Raymond Ray went to be with the Lord Friday, October 21, 2022.  Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2022, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS.  Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will be at Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery.  

Raymond was born on March 24, 1936, in Merigold, MS, to Milton and Oler Ray.  He attended Merigold Consolidated High School, where he played football and baseball.  Raymond married Mary Alice Blount on September 15, 1956, in Cleveland, MS.  He was a master carpenter.  Raymond was an avid hunter and fisherman, along with his sons.  He loved building things.  Raymond spent many hours with his grandchildren, teaching them woodworking skills.  Raymond adored his beloved dog, Lady.  He had many collections.  Most of all, he loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and spending time with them. 

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Oler Ray; sister, Joyce Weeks; brothers, Milton and Rodney Ray.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Mary Alice Ray; sons,  Kenny Ray (Karen) of Thibodaux, LA, Glenn Ray (Tina) of Cleveland, MS, Vince Ray (Susan) of Drew, MS; grandchildren, Casey Ray (Talia), Beth Ray Tiftickjian (Cole), Amy Gaubert (Mike),  Blake Ray (Haley), Matt Ray (Hailey), Andrew Ray (Blaine); great-grandchildren, Dylan Tiftickjian, Tucker Tiftickjian, Taylor Gaubert, Allie Gaubert, Logan Ray, Merideth Blake Ray, Brynlee Ray, Easton Todd Ray, Noah Vincent Ray, Wesley Allen Ray (arriving February 2023); sisters,  Barbara Blaylock, Shirley Morris, and  Brenda Ray.
