Mr. Robert Cecil Andrews, 79, of Merigold, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014, at North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Hill officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Mr. Andrews was born July 31, 1934, to Earl Binnion Andrews and Evelyn Keturah Stanford Andrews. On October 4, 1963, he married Doris Jean Mosley in Cleveland. He was a hard worker who was employed for 45 years at Entergy as an electrician, and also enjoyed working as a farmer and at Water Management Enterprises. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and his favorite hobby was coin collecting.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Doug Andrews.
Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife, Doris Jean Mosley Andrews of Merigold; sons, Randy Andrews (Mary Jane) of Arley, AL, Jeff Andrews (Penny) of Drew, MS, Tod Andrews (Audra) of Vicksburg, MS, and Bin Andrews (Robin) of Port Gibson, MS; daughter, Gina Bailey of Merigold, MS; grandchildren, Renee Fargason, April Denney, Heather Love, Lane Andrews, Laura Beth Andrews, Michael Tod Andrews, and Bailey Andrews; great-grandchildren, Ryan Denney, Hannah Katherine Denney, Logan Harris, Vivian Fargason, and Reid Fargason; brother, Tom Andrews of Skene, MS; and sister, Evelyn Brown of Boyle, MS.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Andrews, Travis Andrews, Bobby Brown, Johnny Robinson, Jimmy Hutchison, Louis Marlon Mosley, and Benny Brooks.
In memory of Mr. Andrews, donations may be made to the Baptist Children's Village in Jackson or to the Bolivar County Humane Society.
