He was born on June 12, 1929 to Robert Earl and Ruby Mitchell in Duncan, MS. Robert was a veteran of the Marine's and served in the Korean War. He was also a police detective for many years.
He is preceded by parents, Robert Earl and Ruby Mitchell; sisters, Lillian Bradly and Sue Parham; brother, Joe Mitchell. Robert is survived by son, Bob Mitchell; sisters, Dottie Reed and Frances Aiken; grandson, Jake Mitchell (Joanne); granddaughter, Susan Bryant Roddy (Bo); great grandchildren, Tripp Haynes, Liam Roddy, and Adell Mitchell and a host of nieces and nephews.
