Robert Hutchison

Robert Allen "Bob" Hutchison, Sr., of Merigold, passed away May 2, 2013, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Turner and Bro. Ed Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Merigold City Cemetery.
Mr. Hutchison was born in Sunflower County on October 6, 1938, to Homer Troy Hutchison and Annie Moselle Medders Hutchison. He married Charlotte Elaine Hill on May 25, 1968, in Cleveland, MS. For 40 years, he has worked as a postal carrier as well as a farmer. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, running and riding his bicycle. Most importantly he enjoyed helping others.
He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Charlotte Hutchison of Merigold; son, Allen Hutchison of Merigold; daughter, Kim Bass of Fulton, MO; granddaughters, Kalie and Kassie Bass of Fulton, MO; brother, Eddie Hutchison of Richmond, MO; sisters, Patricia Weldon of Leland and Diane McClain of Indianola; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Brent Branning, Park Hilter, Pemble Davis, Lex Davis, J.R. Hamilton, and Timmy Hutchison. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bud Manning, Lon Booker, Quitman Deloach, and Steven Hamilton.
