Alan "Mouse" Wilson

Alan “Mouse” Wilson was born in Winona, MS on March 21, 1948. He passed peacefully on his 77th birthday at Azalea Commons in Cleveland, MS.

A  gathering of family & friends will take place to celebrate the life of Alan "Mouse" on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Crawdad's in Merigold, MS.

Alan attended and graduated from Winona High School. After high school he attended Mississippi State University & Delta State University but remained a lifelong fan of the MS State Bulldogs.

He was preceded in passing by his parents John T. “ABE” Wilson and Sadie B. Wilson; and brother John Wilson of Dallas, TX.

He is survived by his brother, Larry Wilson and his wife Cynthia; sister-in-law, Betty Wilson of Bourne, TX; nephews, John Wilson (Amy) Dallas, TX and Brad Wilson (Channing) Bourne, TX.  He also leaves three great nieces and one great nephew. Alan also leaves behind his favorite dog, Gemma.

Alan worked over seas several different times from Russia to Saudi Arabia, but always returned to Merigold, MS, where he worked on several occasions at Crawdads. Alan loved to hunt but was especially fond of turkey hunting and photographing wild game in Africa.

Although Alan was totally blind for several years before his death, he had many friends and hunting buddies that looked after him so he could live by himself until moving into Azalea Commons.

We would like to thank the staff at Azalea Common and the staff of Grace Hospice for all the diligent care and comfort they provided Alan with in the last several months of his life. The family would also like to thank Dr. Don Blackwood for not just being Alan’s doctor, but also his good friend.
