Roberta Anders Hilburn of Cleveland, died, Sunday, April 10, 2011 at North Sunflower in Ruleville, MS. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland with Jimmy Breland and Milton Burd officiating. Burial will follow in North Cleveland Cemetery. Visitation will be from6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Mrs. Hilburn was born, November 15, 1924 in Tuscaloosa to James Nelson Anders and Velma Mae Barrett Anders. She married William C. Hilburn on November 8, 1947 in Tuscaloosa, AL. Roberta Hilburn was a loving wife and devoted mother. She loved her home, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William C. Hilburn; father, James Nelson Anders; mother, Velma Mae Barrett Anders; sisters, Lucy Madge Anders, Rodie Anders Strickland and Louvinia Anders Camp; and brother, Joe Anders. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Joslin (Kip Caro) of Oldsmar, FL, Carol Hilburn (David Alford) of Cleveland, MS, sister, Ethel Avery of Tuscaloosa, AL; brother, James Anders (Barbara) of Tuscaloosa, AL; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Raymond Bassie, Mike Dean, Ernest Avery, David Alford, Wylie Hilburn, and Bobby Douglas.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, 17th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601 in memory of Roberta Hilburn.
