Mr. Ronnie Bryant Parson of Arcola, MS passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 at Ray Funeral Home July 7, 2011. Celebration of life service will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Interstate Baptist Church Thursday, July 7, 2011 with Rev. Robert Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Interstate Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Parson was born November 9, 1965 in Greenville, MS to Floyd Cournize Parson and Martha Gale Mcgehee. He was the President of Washington County Baseball Association and served as Mississippi's District Director of Dixie Youth and served as Assistant State Director of Dixie Youth, and State Director of Dixie Youth.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Burchfield Parson.
He is survived by his children, Ashley Michelle Parson of Arcola, MS and Austin Bryant Parson of Arcola, MS; step-son, Hunter Quinton of Arcola, MS; parents, Floyd C. Parson (Wanda) of Dyersburg, TN and Mrs. Gale Walt (Lee D. ) of Cleveland, MS , MS; brothers, Floyd C. Parson, Jr. of Sumral, MS and Samuel "Ricky" Parson of Cleveland, MS; sister, Katherine Marlene of Des Moines, Iowa; step-brothers, James Lee Walt of Brandon, MS and Bruce D. Walt of Brandon, MS; step-sisters, Hope Mitchell of Tennessee, Missy Dye of Tennessee and Tammy Beachum.
Pallbearers will be Benny Street, Mack Pig, Ronnie Terrell, Steven Gloriosso, Carl Kilgore, and David Smith.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mississippi Dixie Youth Scholarship Fund.
