Rosalie Moore Cole, 97, of Leander, TX, (formerly Benoit and Skene, MS) entered her eternal reward on June 20, 2020 surrounded by family at her son's home in Live Oak, TX. A celebration of her life will be held for family members at Ray Funeral Home on July 9 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Joe Cole officiating. Burial will follow at New Cleveland Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 and social distancing, friends are asked to join the 11:00 a.m. service via Letha Crouch's Facebook Live. Rosalie was born in Lexington, MS to Richard C. and Lota Lee McRae Moore on June 9, 1923. She attended Lexington High School and Holmes Junior College. She married Brady Cole on March 15, 1942. They were married 61 years at the time of his death. Mrs. Cole served her family and her God faithfully. After 20 years as an Air Force officer's wife, she and Colonel Cole retired to Skene, MS to engage in farming. She was an avid musician, an excellent cook, a selfless servant, an encouraging letter-writer, and a joy to be around. Undaunted optimism was a hallmark of her personality. She looked for and found the good in people and situations. Her faith in God remained unshakable to her last breath. Rosalie lived her faith throughout life serving in a variety of roles for years at First Baptist Church of Cleveland and Benoit Union Church, and in her later years at First Baptist Church of San Antonio and Hill Country Bible Church of Leander, TX. Rosalie loved her family and invested her life in them. Mimi, as she became lovingly known, is survived by one daughter, Letha Cole Crouch of Leander TX, four sons; Richard (Julianne) of Knoxville, TN, Brad (Janet) of Billings, MT, Roy (Patricia) of Live Oak, TX, and Joe (Jenny) of Adamsville, TN, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and extended family members.
