Roy Denson 'Big Bear' Kilpatrick

Mr. Roy Denson Kilpatrick, aka "Big Bear", 83, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Indianola Cemetery with Rev. Jack Smith officiating. Mr. Kilpatrick was born in Indianola, MS, on February 3, 1933, to Martin Roy Kilpatrick and Daisy Jernigan Kilpatrick. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and he worked for 43 years at Delta Tire and Appliance until his retirement. On April 10, 1990, he married Becky Richardson in Phillips County, AR. He enjoyed traveling, Ole Miss Football, and the 4th of July. He dearly loved his family and cooking for them, and he especially loved his wife Becky aka "Becky Bear". He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin Roy Kilpatrick and Daisy Jernigan Kilpatrick. Mr. Kilpatrick is survived by his wife, Becky Richardson Kilpatrick of Cleveland; children, Charles Kilpatrick of Cleveland, Debra Abston of Memphis,TN, Daniel Kilpatrick of Louise, Diane Paradise of Memphis, TN, Michael Marquis (Leann) of FL, and Angela Marquis of Cleveland; grandsons, Ben Kilpatrick and Grey Kilpatrick; granddaughters, Aprille Turns, Kim Martin, Celeste Tober, Lauren Lont, Vanessa Case, Emily Kilpatrick, Sarah Beth Marquis, Allie Marquis, Bailey Paradise, and Morgan Marquis; great-grandchildren, Maren Turns, Bryce Tober, Linden Turns, Lake Martin, Lofton Martin, Autumn Lont, Richie Lont, and Smith Case; and siblings, Jo Eidman of Natchez and Barbara Kendricks of Indianola. In memory of Mr. Kilpatrick, the family requests donations made to American Heart Association, Macky and Friends at Hope Church in Memphis, TN, and/or the church or charity of your choice.
