Roy was born on February 17, 1944, to Herbert Alonzo and Shirley Prewitt Junkin. He graduated from Cleveland High School and later married the love of his life, Betty Brown Junkin. Together, they raised two amazing sons. Roy was an excellent carpenter and enjoyed building homes. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, and do anything outdoors. He passed that love onto his children and grandchildren. Roy's love for his Lord and family was so evident to those who knew him. Until we meet again, Roy leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Betty Junkin; his sons, Roy Junkin (Kristin) of Indianola, MS, and Michael Junkin (Kim) of Grenada, MS; his grandchildren, Marilyn Junkin, Kaitlyn Junkin, Cade Junkin, Reed Junkin, and Cody Junkin; his siblings, Cheryl Bailey (Richard) of West Memphis, AR, Milton Junkin of Cleveland, MS and Herbert Junkin of Caddo Mills, TX; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in passing by his parents, Herbert and Shirley Junkin; and his brother, Allen Junkin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angel Flight Soars and Morrison Chapel Kitchen Fund.
