Mrs. Sarah Louise Carver Aycock, 84, life long resident of Cleveland, MS, passed away at the White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in White Hall, AR on February 15, 2012. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Ray Funeral Home, Saturday, February 18, 2012. Celebration of life service will be 2:00 p.m.Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Providence Baptist Church with Bro. J.B. Hays officiating.
Mrs. Aycock was born to Carl Eulalia Carver and Jewel Mae Thrash Carver on November 17, 1927 in Cleveland, MS. She has been a member of Providence Baptist Church since 1965. One of her favorite activities was singing in the Providence Church choir and as the fourth member of a men's quartet. Her hobbies included needlepoint, crocheting and giving her husband a hard time over his fishing activities. Starting in mid-life after the nest emptied out, she trained and became a ward clerk at Boliver Medical Center where she worked for 15 years until she retired in 1992.
She is survived by her son, Bill Aycock of White Hall, AR; daughter, Linda Aycock Tackett of Cleveland, MS; brother, Carl Eulalia Carver, Jr. of Meridian, MS; four grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Haley Mosley, Rayburn Mosley, Earl Mosley, Timothy Redwine, Paul Gladden and Joseph Gladden.
