Mr. Sebron Beneford "Pete" Tindle, 100, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at his home in Cleveland. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home with Brother Garner officiating. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. Tindle was born to George Thomas Tindle and Josie Whatley Tindle in Carrol County on September 1, 1911. He married Melba Trainor on December 27, 1931 in Cleveland, MS. He spent 50 years of his life working as a farmer and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George Thomas Tindle and Josie Whatley Tindle; siblings, Jim Tindle, Bertha Tindle Doyle, Wilma Tindle Henson, Connie Tindle McNeer, Clyde Tindle, and Cecil Tindle; and his son, Robert Donald Tindle.
Mr. Tindle is survived by his wife of 80 years, Melba Trainor Tindle; son, George Lamar Tindle of Boyle,MS; grandchildren, Cindy Nelson (Jerry) of Hot Springs, AR, Charlene Kolafa (Tom) of Hot Springs, Ar; Linda Gamache of St. Louis, MO, Sasha Tindle, Theresa Lee (Gene) of Southhaven, MS, Denise Keeton (Brad) of Cleveland, MS, and Lamar Tindle (Ginny) of Cleveland, MS; and great-grandchildren, J Weaver, Mary and Alex Kolafa, Justin and Donny Gamache, Seabran Cole and Ellis Lee, Brittany Holiman, Brianna and Brady Keeton, and Landon and Logan Tindle.
Pallbearers will be Houston Weaver, Felix Dean, Tom Tindle, J Weaver, Tom Kolafa and Garry Tindle.
Honorary Pallbearers will be great-grandchildren: Cole Lee, Landon Tindle, Brady Keeton, Alex Kolafa, Justin Gamache and Donny Gamache.
