Shankarbhai Babarbhai Patel, 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, in Jackson, MS. Prathana will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home with Kiritbhai Brahaman officiating.
Shankarbhai was born on June 1, 1950, to Babarbhai and Sitaben Patel in India. On June 5, 1974, he married Shakuntalaben S. Patel in India. He spent his life working as a farmer but loved playing Solitarie, cards, and on the iPad in his spare time. Shankarbhai enjoyed smoking beedi and a cold beer, especially Guiness and Budlight.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Babarbhai and Sitaben Patel; two brothers, and two sisters.
Shankarbhai is survived by his wife, Shakuntalaben of Ruleville, MS; son, Atul of Ruleville; daughter-in-law, Hetal (Mayuri) of Ruleville, MS; grandson, Manav of Ruleville, MS; son, Sanjay of Bardoli, India; daughter-in-law, Amie of Bardoli, India; grandson, Nilen and Jay of Bardoli, India; daughter, Dipika of Toronto, Canada; son-in-law, Rajubhai of Toronto, Canada; granddaughter, Hemi  of Toronto, Canada; grandson, Harshal of Toronto, Canada; and nephews kids, Kevin Patel of Clinton, MS, Parin Bhikha of Clinton, MS, Yash Patel of Clinton, MS, and Shivani Bhikha of Clinton, MS.
