Sidney Cook

Sidney Ray Cook, 85, of Boyle, MS, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 15, 2022. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 2:00. Interment will be at New Cleveland Cemetery.

Sidney was born April 23, 1937, to Emmett and Mary Cook in Sledge, MS. He married Nezzie Mae Flowers September 1, 1956, in Boyle, MS. Sidney worked in agriculture drilling water wells for over 65 years. He loved to travel in his motor home and was an avid fisherman.

He is predeceased by his parents, Emmett and Mary Cook; sister, Ann Moore; and brother, Emmett Cook.

Sidney is survived by his loving wife, Nezzie Cook; daughter, Cindy Bassie (Butch); grandson, Lee Michael Bassie (Brantley); brother, Hubert Doyle Cook; nieces, Beverly Ray Card (Bob), Sherree Skelton (Steve), Pam Greenway (Ric), Lori Cooley, and Gina Wiggins; nephew, Emmett Lloyd Cook (Darlene); and his beloved dachshund, Sadie.
