Steve Lee "Buster" Sizemore, Sr., 73, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church. A Rosary will follow the visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church with Father Kent Bowlds officiating. Interment will be at New Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. Sizemore was born April 9, 1939, to Oscar Steve Sizemore and Rosa Lee Thornhill Sizemore in Pace,MS. On April 21, 1963, in Shaw, he married Shirley Canico. Over the years, Buster worked at a feed and seed store, was an employee at Denton's, and invested most of his time in his passion of carpentry. He was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church and was a very involved and supportive husband, father and grandfather. He was very devoted to his family and loved and cared for them dearly. He enjoyed coaching his boy's baseball team and watching his grandchildren play sports. Mr. Sizemore was one of the original members of the Cleveland Booster Club and worked diligently to get it started. He remained an active member throughout the years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Shirley C. Sizemore of Cleveland, MS; sons, Steve Lee Sizemore, Jr. (Stacie) of Newport, MS and Charles "Shine" Sizemore (Susan) of Boyle, MS; Grandchildren, Alexandria Sizemore, Cassidy Sizemore, Rylee Sizemore, Kendall Sizemore and Gunner Sizemore; sister, Sally Jo Lishman of Cleveland, MS; aunt, Ruby Thornhill of Pace, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nolan Knight, James Enriquez, Joe Ferguson, Sidney Melton, Floyd Arbuckle, Jr., John David Bassie, Todd Garner and Travis Mikel.
Honorary pallbearers are the Rosedale Class of 1957, his coffee buddies and the camping group.
