Susan was born on February 20 1949, to Alexander Vincent "Buddy" and Laura Ann Turner Vetrano in Rosedale, MS.
Susan was a graduate of Rosedale High School and Delta State University where she obtained a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science. As a young girl, Susan was an avid horsewoman, spending many hours riding her beloved Penny. Susan could often be found with her camera around her neck taking photographs across the Delta. She also loved documenting family events with her photos. She especially loved photographing the younger generations of the family. She was also very interested in genealogy, doing extensive research on her Italian heritage. Susan absolutely loved to travel. She enjoyed seeing the country with her favorite traveling companion, and cousin, Claire Turner. But more than anything, Susan loved her big, extended family. She never missed a wedding, birthday party, family gathering or a reunion. Friends and family were often on the receiving end of Susan's many acts of quiet kindness and love. And she loved doting on the little kids.
Susan worked in executive services with FedEx headquarters in Memphis for 30 years, retiring in 2003.  She was most proud of the fact that she was one of the first 1,000 employees hired for the new company. She remained in close contact with many of her FedEx friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alexander "Buddy" Vetrano and Laura Ann Vetrano,
Susan is survived by her siblings, Vickie Vetrano of Liberty City, TX and Bill Vetrano (Anne) of Rosedale, MS; nieces, Laura Vetrano Gillum (Coltan) of Lake Village, AR and Katherine Vetrano of San Diego, CA; nephews, Charles Stanley (Stephanie) of Rosedale, MS, Alex "Buddy" Stanley (Ashley Jo) of Mount Pleasant, TX, and Carter Stanley (Ashley) of Liberty City, TX; great nieces and nephews, Cane and Caimen Stanley; Eli, Ethan, and Aiden Stanley; and Cade and Cole Stanley; and Baby Gillum due February 2020, and a very special cousin whom she considered a dear friend, Claire Turner of Ocean Springs, MS.
