Tenna was born on November 13, 1961, in Ruleville, Mississippi, to Alfred and Annette Rogers. Tenna embodied warmth, creativity, and a zest for life that touched everyone she met.

With an educational background from North Sunflower Academy, Tenna dedicated herself to her career as a secretary for Dr. Wiggins and worked as a paralegal for Jim Warrington. She was known for her remarkable ability to manage tasks with precision and her commitment to those she worked with.

In her personal life, Tenna was a dreamer; she held big aspirations for creating a tiny house, and a bunker which illustrated her imaginative spirit. She was a true-crime junkie and an avid crafter, finding joy in creating memorable experiences with her loved ones. She loved spending time with her siblings and long nights lying in bed talking all night long with Margaret Ellen, where laughter and stories were shared over cherished moments. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the casino. Most of all, family was the most important thing. She loved spending time with her husband and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life since the age of 13 her husband of 41 years, Barry Kent; her parents, Alfred and Annette Rogers; and her in-laws, Bobby and Cathrine Kent.

Tenna's love extended deeply to her family. She is survived by her children, Casey Kent (Micheal Johnson), Ryan Kent (Heather), and Anna Kent (Kelly Grissette) (Ray Hawkins); grandchildren, Averie Claire Johnson (Kylan Pinkton), Wyatt Johnson, Mamie Kent, Cayson Kent, Bristol Grissette, Hadley Grissette, Reese Grissette, Evelyn Hawkins, and Sophia Hawkins were a source of pride and joy in her life. She was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Kent Michael Pinkton. She also leaves behind her special friend, Lloyd Hodges. Tenna is additionally mourned by her sisters, Beverly Skeen (Joe Skeen) and Cheryl Davis (Tim Davis); and brother, Bubba Rogers; brother-in-law,  Bob Kent (Barbara Kent); along with a host of nieces and nephews who will remember her affectionately.

Tenna Kent will be remembered not just for her accomplishments but for the love she shared, the memories she created, and the lives she touched. Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
