Mrs. Thelma Gray West Mullins, 95 of Cleveland went to be with Lord on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021, with A Celebration of Life Service immediately following at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. Interment will be at New Cleveland Cemetery following service.
Thelma was born on February 9, 1926, to Thomas and Lillie West in Sweetwater, AL. She married Calvin Thomas Mullins Sr. on January 10, 1942, in Cleveland, MS. Her first love was the Lord. She loved all people and, it was her desire that all people know the Lord. She lived her life for the Lord and prayed you would see Jesus in her and you could! Her love for children was evident in her being able to help parents by keeping their children for them. She loved her ministry of taking church literature to shut-ins, helping with bingo for the residents at Cleveland Health & Rehab, and keeping the church nursery during Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She helped with the back yard Bible studies in the area. Her last "job" was folding the church bulletin and prayer list. Her favorite hobby was playing Mexico Train Dominoes with her church friends. She loved word puzzles and putting puzzles together. Many were framed and hung in her children's home. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 165 and the WMV at First Baptist of Boyle.
She predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Lillie West; husband, Calvin Thomas Mullins Sr.; sons, Thomas and Melvin Mullins; brothers, Comer Benjamin West, John David West Sr., James Ollie West, Thomas William West, and Alex West; sisters, Pearlie Bullock, Lorena Seals, and Mary Lou Buckley.
Thelma is survived by son, Jeffery Todd Mullins (Angie); daughters, Mary Jane Mullins Ervin, and Edna Sue Mullins McCaleb (Mac); daughter-n-law, Dorothy Mullins; grandchildren, Mandy Zuniga, Brandy Medina, Angie Manus, Jason Mullins, Andrew Mullins, Jessica Gray Forbes, Matt McClellan, Ann-Katlyn Franklin, and Shelby Manus; great grandchildren, Tyler Stevens, Alana Ward, Hank Zuniga, Lily Manus, Faith Forbes, Katie-Gray Forbes, Dayson Franklin, and Tenneyson Franklin; claimed as children and grandchildren, Marcie Mullins, Jan Humphries and her children, Addison and Tanner Humphries, Eddie Daniels, and his children Emily and Brandon Daniels, and Faye Washington.
