T.J. Williams, 77, of Drew, MS went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Summer, MS. Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Drew Cemetery.
T.J. was born November 11, 1944, in Merigold, MS to Velpo (Bud) & Mary Lee Williams. He married Carol Burchfield November 3, 1961, in Drew, MS. T.J. worked as a farmer and welder for 50 years. He was known for his outgoing personality and his ability to turn life experiences into great stories. T.J. never wanted to hurt anyone's feelings, so he became a "Yes" man with no regrets. Best of all he became one of God's children and turned his life around.
He is predeceased by his parents, Velpo & Mary Lee (Tacker) Williams; daughter, Suzanne Schiele; grandchildren, Tripp Macon and Jess Macon; brother, James Williams; and sister, Bobby Williams.
T.J. is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol Williams; daughters, Lisa Willingham (Pete), Cindy Grittman (Allan), Mary Smithey, and Julia Macon (Tom); grandchildren; Heather Kent (Ryan), Tara Willingham, J.B. Willingham, Anna McClain Sykes (Dalton), Laura Lee Grittman, T.J. Schiele (Aleigha), Justin Schiele, Zanna Schiele, Tyler Toole (Shelby), Sarah Toole, Adam Smithey (Emilie), Parker Smithey, Jake Macon & Gracie Macon; great grandchildren; Mamie Annette Kent, Cayson James Kent, John Grittman Sykes, James Stratton Sykes & Maybry Smithey.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Samaritan Purse.
