Toni Gregg Rainey, 78, of Cleveland, MS went to be with the Lord Monday, February 14, 2022. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Cleveland, MS. Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at New Cleveland Cemetery.
Toni was born October 26, 1943 in Minter City, MS to Robert Lee and Vesta Beatrice Franks Gregg. She grew up in Winona, MS. Toni married Paul Dexter Rainey February 28, 1969 in Southaven, MS. Toni was the Director of Radiology at the Mississippi Department of Corrections at Parchman. She was ARRT certified and then returned to school and obtained her ultrasound licensure. She loved all God's creation and was always in awe of His beauty in all things - sunrise, sunsets, and the beautiful brushstrokes that painted each little bird. Toni passed this love on to her daughters and grandchildren. She was a member of the North MS Emmaus Community. Toni had many favorite quotes & scriptures. She was known as Moo-Toni to her beloved grandchildren who adored her.
She is predeceased by her parents, Robert Lee and Vesta Beatrice Franks Gregg of Winona, MS; sisters, Carol Mims, Thelma Gilly, Evelyn Smith, Naomi White, Billie Day, and Bonnie Duke; brothers, Harvis and Clayton Gregg.
Toni is survived by her loving husband, Paul Dexter Rainey; daughters, Paula Weaver (Dennis) of Brandon, MS and Robin McKnight (Nat) of Cleveland, MS; grandchildren, Gregory "Cade" and Robin Elizabeth Weaver, Nathan "Rhett" and Rainey "Reid" McKnight; sister, Shirley Floyd (John) of Germantown, TN; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to First United Church 318 South Court Street, Cleveland, MS 38732.
