Tony Baioni
Tony Paul Baioni, 79, of Shaw, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at his home. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014, at St. Francis of Assissi. A Rosary will follow beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi in Shaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi with Father Tom Mullally officiating. Interment will be in Shaw City Cemetery.
Mr. Baioni was born October 23, 1934, to Willie Baioni, Sr. and Maria Sandroni Baioni. He proudly served our country in the United States Army as Sergeant First Class, and was a member of the American Legion. He worked for 37 years as a Die Setter for Modern Line Products. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and he truly loved his church and family. He never forgot any of his nieces and nephews birthdays and he loved his sisters cooking. Mr. Baioni enjoyed gardening, cartoons, western movies, and the Atlanta Braves.
Mr. Baioni is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Baioni and Maria Sandroni Baioni; and brother, Jimmie Baioni.
He is survived by his brothers Willie Baioni, Jr., Victor Baioni (Martha), and Tommy Baioni (Donna) all of Shaw, MS; sisters, Angelina Baioni Pirtle, Stella Baioni Grimes (Gene), and Annie Baioni Kovach (Nicholas) all of Shaw, MS and Catherine Baioni Pearson of Sylacauga, AL; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Trey McClure, Brandon Baioni, Richard Pirtle, Kenneth Pirtle, Jr., Keith Baioni, Kevin Baioni, Tom Huey, and Butch Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be Karl Baioni.
In memory of Mr. Baioni, donations may be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw.
