Tuck Miller, Jr.
Herbert Tucker Miller, Jr., 89, of Drew, MS, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Walter B. Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville, MS. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2019, at Drew Methodist Church. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2019, at Drew Methodist Church with Rev. Glenn Seefield officiating. Interment will be in Drew Cemetery.
Tuck was born on September 12, 1929, to Herbert and Margaret Miller in Doddsville, MS. On September 9, 1951, he married Dorothy Wilmuth Page in Summit, MS. Tuck served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War then made his home in Drew, MS where he farmed. He was a lifelong member of Drew Methodist Church also serving as chairman on the board; he was a former chairman of the North Sunflower Medical Center Board, Cotton Board, and Board of Alderman in Drew, MS for many years. Tuck loved his family, farming, a good dove hunt, and Mississippi State Football.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dotty Miller; and parents, Herbert and Margaret Miller.
Tuck is survived by his sons, Tucker Miller (Ruth) of Drew, MS and Dr. Mark Miller (Sonia) of Memphis, TN; sister, Jeanne Santmyer of Yazoo City, MS; grandchildren, Hub Miller, Emily Waters, Page Nored, Lauren Crowder, Mark Miller, Jr., and David Miller; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews .
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Drew Methodist Church or donor's charity of choice.
