Velma Williams

Velma Williams died Friday, April 27, 2012 from a recent illness at the age of 87. Visitation will be at Ray Funeral Home Sunday, April 29, 2012, 1:00 p.m. til 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at North Cleveland Cemetery immediately following the visitation.
She loved the Lord, playing the piano, singing, and being with friends. She was born to A.E. and Annie Sims who are deceased. She is also preceded in death by her husband L.B. Williams, former Bolivar County Sheriff and Tax collector; her daughter Virginia Ann "Gigi" Wischman; and her sister Doris Hood.
She is survived by her daughters Karen "Kay" Walker (Marvin) of Cleveland, MS and Jan Hughes (Kay) of Brandon, MS, Grandchildren Mary Camille Wischman Knowles of Kalamazoo, MI; Margaret Wischman Robertson of Lake Orion; Pam Horn, Renee Walker, and Tim Burchfield of Cleveland, MS; Chris Hughes (Jane) of Madison, MS; and Heather Hughes Dyess (Jason) of Brandon, MS; and a sister Bobbie Medders of Cleveland, MS. She had 9 great grandchildren. She is at peace now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
