Vickie Hocutt

Vickie Doris Ashley Hocutt, 55, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at her home. Visitation will be 1:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2014, with Bro. Gayden Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in Linn Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Hocutt was born August 1, 1958, in Mississippi, to Ira Ashley and Ruby Doris Douglas Ashley. On February 14, 1990, she married Henry Wayne "Red" Hocutt in Arkansas. She loved watching her girls play sports, and she was a hard worker as well as a dedicated, supportive mother. She enjoyed reading, fishing, gardening and flowers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ira Ashley and Ruby Douglas Ashley; and her husband, Henry Wayne "Red" Hocutt.
Mrs. Hocutt is survived by her daughters, Ashley Hocutt (Stephen Ferri) of Merigold and Amery Hocutt of Indianola; sister, Sarah Welch (George) of Drew; brother, John Ashley (LaRuth) of Belzoni; uncle, Johnny "Bo" Haynes of Drew; aunts, Larrene Ashmore of Meridian and Warrene Stewart of Ruleville; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
